Former MP and Gana Suraksha Party candidate Naba Kumar Sarania has expressed strong confidence of a sweeping victory in the Manas Assembly constituency, asserting that his party will secure around one lakh votes in the upcoming elections.
Addressing campaign events across the constituency, Sarania said that his election outreach would be completed in all areas before April 7. He claimed that voters, including members of the Muslim community, have already made up their minds regarding whom to support.
He further stated that even supporters of the BJP had conveyed to him that they would not vote for Congress or Raijor Dal candidates, indicating what he described as a broader shift in voter sentiment in favour of his party.
Launching a sharp attack on his political opponents, Sarania took aim at UPPL leader Pramod Boro, recalling past remarks and accusing him of political opportunism. He also criticised Kamal Kumar Medhi, alleging inconsistency in his political affiliations, saying he has shifted between Congress, Raijor Dal, and BJP over time.
Projecting himself as a grassroots leader, Sarania said that both he and Hira Sarania are deeply connected to the people and enjoy widespread public support. He claimed that large crowds have been attending his rallies, reflecting growing trust in his leadership.
Emphasizing his campaign message, Sarania assured voters that he remains committed to resolving the issues faced by the people of the constituency, asserting that their problems can be addressed under his leadership.
The statements come as political campaigning intensifies in Manas, with candidates stepping up their outreach efforts ahead of polling.
