The Department of Communication and Journalism of the Gauhati University organised a students’ film festival- ‘Jonaki’ very first time on November 29 and November 30.
The festival kick started at the Phanidhar Dutta Hall with the theme ‘Inspiring roots’.
The film festival witnessed different events like film screening, interactive sessions, workshops on film making and much more.
Altogether 13 films were screened during the two-day festival.
As an opener, My Father’s Letter, a Manipuri film directed by Kangba Lavejoy was screened.
The film festival aimed at encouraging the youth for film making and promote a film culture among the students through regional films.
