Aamir Khan introduces girlfriend Gauri on his 60th birthday, says they are ‘serious and committed’ 

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan turned a year older on Friday, March 14, and celebrated the occasion in a special way. The actor hosted a meet-and-greet session with the media, where he made a rare personal revelation—introducing his girlfriend, Gauri, to the world for the first time.  

During the press meet, Aamir shared that he and Gauri have been together for a year and a half but have known each other for 25 years. “Gauri and I met 25 years ago, and now, we are partners. We are very serious and committed to each other,” Aamir said.  

Gauri, who hails from Bengaluru, has a fascinating background. She is part-Irish, part-Tamil, and was previously married. She also has a six-year-old son. Despite being in a relationship with Aamir for over a year, the couple managed to keep their romance under wraps.  

The actor, known for his perfectionism on and off-screen, seemed delighted about successfully maintaining privacy around his relationship. Laughing, he said, “Dekha, kuch bhi pata nahi chalne diya maine tum logo ko (See, I did not let you get a wind of this).”  

Aamir Khan was previously married twice—first to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira, and later to filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he shares a son, Azad. He and Kiran continue to share a cordial bond and often collaborate on projects.  

The news of Aamir’s relationship with Gauri has come as a surprise to many, as the actor has always maintained a low profile when it comes to his personal life. However, his candid revelation has been met with warmth and curiosity from fans and media alike.
