The 'Calm Down' singer Rema electrified the crowd on Saturday (May 14) during a sweltering summer night in Mumbai. The 23-year-old Nigerian musician had the audience singing along with him during his energetic performance.
Around 10 o'clock, the singer entered the stadium's open-air stage to begin her performance. The show continued till after midnight. Pictures and videos of his act quickly gained popularity on social media. Nora Fatehi, an actor and dancer, not only went to the event, but she also got up on stage with Rema and forced him to dance to the beat of her hit song, "Naach Meri Rani." Guru Randhawa sings the wildly famous song, and the music video for it features Nora Fatehi's fierce dancing.
The two chatted in the vanity van before going on stage about their shared love of Indian and African music and culture as well as their particular contributions to the Afrobeats sector.
Nora said that Rema's performance was very outstanding and that I had a great time performing. She described him as a very gifted artist with a friendly disposition and a sense of cooperation.
"Being a North African, it's such a proud moment for me to witness how the Afro-music and dance movement has become a mainstay in India now.", she added.
"It's amazing to witness how Afrobeats, just like Indian music, has become such a massive movement worldwide and it's a moment of joy for me since I've been largely associated with the genre for a long time."
