Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan all set to enter Rs 1000 crore club by next week

The action movie Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, keeps soaring and dominating the domestic box office. After topping the box office for the first week, the movie picked up steam again on its second weekend. According to market watcher Sacnilk, Jawan made over Rs 31.50 crore on its second Saturday. The movie's net domestic take now stands at Rs. 440.48 crore. It won't be surprising if the Atlee-directed film crosses the Rs 500 crore mark on Sunday given its current pace.

Jawan got a 37.29% occupancy in the Hindi market, with maximum audience going for the night shows. The Tamil and Telugu occupancy was noted at 33.51% and 29.40% respectively. Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’s collection at the national cinema chains till 9.45 pm on Saturday. Jawan has made Rs 735.02 crore globally, according to the production firm Red Chillies Entertainment, and given the rate at which the sum is increasing, it is anticipated to join the Rs 1000 crore club within the next week.

If Jawan surpasses the Rs 500 crore threshold, it will be the third movie this year to accomplish that record, a phenomenon unheard of previously in the Hindi cinema business. Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan ($543.05 million) and Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 ($517.28 million) were the first two films in the series. Other than these three, no other Hindi film ever approached the $400 million level. The longest-running top-grossing Bollywood film was Dangal, which brought in Rs 387.38 crore.
