Manipur: 100-bed COVID facility inaugurated by CM N Biren Singh

IMPHAL: Amid a continuing surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in Manipur, the state's Chief Minister N Biren Singh Inaugurated a 100-bedded Dedicated COVID Block and took stock of the situation and preparedness to stem the COVID-19 infections, at the JNIMS Complex, in Imphal East District earlier today.

pandemic," Singh wrote in a tweet after COVID-19 block.

The Chief Minister also shared pictures of the spanking new facility that is expected to add teeth to the state's fight against the COVID-19.

Manipur reported 151 new COVID-19 cases, 96 recoveries, and no death today, as per a bulletin issued by the State Health Department, Manipur.

So far, 26,685 people have been infected with the COVID-19 virus in the state, out of which 23,397 patients have recovered. There are 2,970 active cases of the virus in the state, and 318 patients have succumbed to death. The recovery rate in the state is quite robust and stands at 87.67%.
