On Saturday, a fierce gunfight took place between suspected cadres of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah (NSCN-IM) and Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) in Manipur’s Noney district.
Sources said that two persons were killed in the gunfight but it is yet to be confirmed. The whole incident took place around 20 km from the Noney police station. The gun battle took place at 11 am and lasted till late afternoon.
Police are currently investigating the issue to confirm the identity of the deceased cadres.
