Manipur: Imphal youth goes missing, last seen in Chinikhul area

A 20-year-old youth, Luwangthem Mukesh from Keishampat Leimajam Leikai, has gone missing, with his last known location traced to the Chinikhul area in the Bishnupur district.

Mukesh left home around 2 PM yesterday, and CCTV footage shows him crossing Nambol PS at 3:16 PM before reaching Bishnupur Bazar at 3:40 PM. Concerns over his safety have escalated after reports surfaced suggesting he may have been seen in the Jouzangtek area.

RPI (Athawale) National Secretary Maheshwar Thounaojam has written to the DGP and Manipur Police, urging immediate intervention to locate and rescue Mukesh. "His life may be in grave danger. Authorities must act swiftly to ensure his safety," he stated.

The police and law enforcement agencies are under pressure to intensify the search and ensure his safe return.

Meanwhile, a missing report has also been filed at the Imphal police station for expedite the search operation.
