Manipur's Kangpokpi hosts grand NCC Day 2025 celebration, cadets showcase discipline and pride

The District Level NCC Day Celebration 2025 was observed with pride, discipline, and patriotic enthusiasm at the ADC Hall in Kangpokpi, where cadets, officers, alumni, and dignitaries gathered for a vibrant display of national unity.
Organised by the NCC Alumni Kangpokpi District, the event showcased the unwavering spirit of the National Cadet Corps. Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, CRPF, presided as the Chief Guest, while Lamminlal Simte, Assistant Commissioner of Kangpokpi, attended as the Guest of Honour. Henminthang Kipgen, Officer-in-Charge of Kangpokpi Police Station, served as the Functional President.
The celebration began with the ceremonial arrival of dignitaries, followed by a disciplined March Past, Salute, and the National Anthem, setting a solemn and patriotic tone for the programme.
The formal session, anchored by Cadet Eunice Lamngailhing Chongloi, featured cultural performances, motivational addresses, and recognition of outstanding cadets. Senior Thangkhanlal Lhouvum delivered the keynote address, emphasising the NCC’s critical role in nation-building. The Lighthouse NCC group presented a traditional dance depicting India’s cultural diversity.
Students of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Gamnom Saparmeina, performed a solo and a dynamic group choreography, showcasing the discipline and creativity nurtured through NCC training.
The highlight of the function was the felicitation of Sergeant Lamruthmoi Kipgen (EMRS Gamnom Saparmeina) and Cadet Lamnunnem Singson (Lighthouse English School, Kangpokpi), who were honoured as Best Cadets 2025 for their exemplary dedication and discipline.
Chief Guest Rajesh Kumar praised the cadets for embodying the core values of unity, leadership, and service, noting that NCC remains one of India’s most influential platforms for youth development. Guest of Honour Lamminlal Simte encouraged cadets to continue striving for excellence in academics and service activities.
The programme concluded with the soulful rendition of the NCC Song, symbolising courage, patriotism, and devotion to the nation.
The event reaffirmed NCC’s mission of shaping responsible, empowered, and service-oriented citizens in Kangpokpi and beyond.
