MEGHALAYA: HUGE CACHE OF ARMS RECOVERED

The Meghalaya police has recovered a huge cache of arms in East Garo Hills. The arms were found buried in a forest in Dorengkigre area in Durama. Based on specific input, police made the recovery with the help of metal detectors. The recovery includes 21 pistols, empty magazines, two walkie-talkie sets, arrows, GNLA seals and documents.

It may be mentioned that Dorengkigre is known to be a stronghold of the banned Garo National Liberation Army.
