IED RECOVERED IN POLL BOUND MEGHALAYA

Averting a major tragedy, SF-10 commandos recovered a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) in poll-bound Meghalaya’s East Garo Hills district. The 5 kg bomb was recovered on the road near Rongre river on the way to Nengmandal area and it was later detonated on the spot. Police suspect that it could be the handiwork of the outlawed Garo National Liberation Army.
