Meghalaya: Former CM Mukul Sangma likely join Trinamool Congress
SHILLONG: Former Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mukul Sangma and 13 other MLAs are likely to quit the Congress today and join the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC).

SHILLONG: Former Chief Minister of Meghalaya Mukul Sangma and 13 other MLAs are likely to quit the Congress today and join the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC).
The move could be a major setback for the current opposition party ahead of the 2023 state elections in Meghalaya.According to reports, a team from TMC will arrive Meghalaya to take the matters forward.

Speculation regarding Sangma's possible induction to the TMC started about two weeks ago, when a host of leaders from Meghalaya visited Kolkata.
Sangma met the leadership of TMC as he was unhappy with the way current Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president.
