Meghalaya's World Cup fan park draws over 3,000 for Argentina-Egypt showdown

More than 3,000 football fans gathered at the Chief Minister's Football Fan-Park at Polo, Shillong, on Tuesday night to watch Argentina's Round of 16 FIFA World Cup clash against Egypt, with the venue erupting in celebration after the South American side secured a dramatic late victory.
The fan park witnessed one of its biggest turnouts of the tournament so far, with supporters cheering throughout the match before celebrating Argentina's winning goal in the closing moments.
