Counterfeit liquor worth Rs. 4.5 lakh nabbed in Nagaland

Kohima, March 19, 2019:

Wokha Battalion of Assam Rifles on Monday established a night Mobile Vehicle Check Post along the Merapani Bhandari road in Nagaland wherein a Scorpio vehicle with registration number AS 01N 2697 going from Merapani towards Bhandari village with Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) was intercepted.

The apprehended individual was identified as Eyilo Ngullie belonging to Wokha. The recoveries included 528 cans of Kingfisher beer (500 ml), 24 cans of Beer Storm, 1656 bottles of McDowell Rum (750 ml).

The approximate cost of the seized liquor was Rs 4,50,000/-. The apprehended along with seized IMFL and vehicle was handed over to Bhandari Police Station for further investigation.
