Sources reported that four Mi-17 helicopters have been deployed at Dimapur & Rangapahar for the task.

The wildfire at the eastern side of the Dzoukou Valley has been brought under control, reports said on Friday.

“It’s a matter of great relief that our brave Fire Brigade personnel along with some local volunteers have brought the wildfire at eastern side spreading from Mount Khungho towards Mao under control”, a source informed us.

Unfortunately, the wildfire at the southern side is yet to be brought under control.

The Central government has deployed the NDRF personnel at the site now.
