Indian Air force Celebrates 86th anniversary

Guwahati, October 8, 2018:

October 8, special day For Indian Air Force as it is celebrating its 86th Anniversary today. The IAF held a grand parade-cum-investiture ceremony at the Air Force Station at Hindon in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.

The parade was followed by an air display and acrobatics by the Air Force’s various aircraft, including Jaguar, Bison, MiG-29, Mirage-2000 and SU-30 MKI fighter jets and Rudra helicopters.

Following the parade, visitors witnessed a static display of aircraft, weapon, radar and missiles systems of the Indian Air Force

On this special day Kiren Rijiju, Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh took off from Indian Air Force's Halwara base in Punjab and flew for about 30 minutes in the supersonic jet. Rijiju tweeted: “My greetings to IAF personnel & their families. The invitation by the Air Chief Marshal to fly Sukhoi Su-30MKI and my interaction with our brave hearts was memorable. India salutes IAF for their bravery & commitment.”
