J&K Handwara Encounter | CRPF personnel martyred, death toll rises to 5

Jammu and Kashmir, March 3, 2019:

A CRPF personnel has succumbed to injuries that he sustained yesterday during the ongoing encounter between the Indian armed forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter has been going on for over 60-hours in Kupwara district’s Babagund village.

Earlier, two CRPF personnel and two police personnel were killed during the attack, while eight others were injured. With the death of the CRPF personnel early in the morning, the tally of dead security personnel has risen to five.

It is to be mentioned that one civilian was also injured during the attack and several others were injured. It is believed that terrorists are still hiding in houses in the village and search operations are still on.
