A Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawan came to the rescue of a passenger attempting to board a moving Vande Bharat train at Howrah Station.
The incident occurred as the high-speed Howrah Puri Vande Bharat train was departing from Howrah Station on a routine journey to Puri, Odisha. The clock had just struck 6:10 AM, and the train was gradually gaining momentum when a passenger made a perilous attempt to board the moving train with his luggage. In a split second, the passenger lost his footing and found himself trapped between the platform and the moving train.
A quick-thinking RPF officer, Vinod Kumar Chaudhary, who was on duty at the time, sprang into action. He rushed to the passenger's aid, immediately reaching for the man's bag and pulling him away from the hazardous predicament. Thanks to the officer's response, a potentially tragic situation was averted, and the passenger was safely brought to the platform.
While the passenger did sustain minor injuries during the incident, his life was undoubtedly saved by the prompt intervention of RPF officer Chaudhary. The injured passenger wa provided with medical assistance and transported to the Howrah District Hospital for treatment.
