First stakeholders' meet held for Sikkim Global Film Festival 2021

Gangtok: The first stakeholders' meet for the Sikkim Global Film Festival 2021 was conducted at Manan Kendra today. The meeting was chaired by Pooja Sharma, the Chairperson of the Sikkim Film Board.

During the meeting, various issues were discussed regarding organizing of the festival.

The meeting was attended by the Political Secretary to the CM Jacob Khaling, Advisor IPR Department Birendra Tamling, among others.

Filmmaker Ugyen Chopel, Prashant Rasaily and other noted filmmakers of the State too attended the meeting and gave their valuable inputs for conducting the Sikkim Global Film Festival 2021.

The need for such a festival which showcases Sikkim at a global pedestal was echoed by all the participants and agreed that such type of festival would go a long way in empowering our youths and in shaping a much better image for the state at the national and international platform.
