Gopal Chettri appointed as new president of Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee

GANGTOK: Gopal Chettri has been appointed as the new president of the Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee today.

Gopal Chettri will replace Bharat Basnet former state Congress president who resigned from his post in September 2020  due to differences with the party leadership.

Before being named president of the SPCC, Chettri served as the East district president.

National Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Saturday reconstituted the Sikkim unit by appointing ten new vice presidents.
