Sikkim's young animal lover and People for Animals (PFA) member, Khenrab Gyalpo Zongtenpa, along with the support of firefighters and the Sarah rescue team rescued a cat trapped on the fifth floor of the Futsal Stadium. It was finally rescued after more than a week of being stuck.
The story began when Khenrab learned that a cat was stuck high up in the stadium. Without wasting any time, he started trying to find ways to bring the cat down safely. His determination did not go unnoticed.
After several attempts and calls for help, the rescue operation kicked into full gear today with the help of the local fire department and the Sarah rescue team.
Leading the fire department team was Fire Station Officer (FSO) Bishal Rai, who was assisted by Assistant Sub-Fire Officer Binod Pandey and their skilled crew.
The actual rescue work was done bravely by firefighter LNK Dawa Tashi Bhutia. He carefully climbed up to the spot where the frightened cat was stuck and brought it down safely.
Thanks to the joint effort of Khenrab, the firefighters, and the rescue team, the cat is now safe and sound.
