Drugs worth Rs 40 crore seized from truck in Tripura’s Panisagar; driver detained

Narcotics worth an estimated Rs 40 crore were seized from a truck during a police operation at Agnipasha along National Highway-8 in Panisagar, Tripura.

A substantial quantity of Yaba tablets was reportedly recovered from the truck during the operation.

Police detained the truck driver, identified as Rupam Deka of Nagaon, Assam, in connection with the seizure.

The seized narcotics and the detained driver have been taken into custody as authorities proceed with further investigation to determine the source and intended destination of the consignment.
