TRIPURA CM VOWS TO MAKE THE STATE FREE FROM CRIME AGAINST WOMEN

Guwahati, November 10, 2018:

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has vowed to make the state free from crime against women.

Deb's comments came as hundreds of women gathered at his official residence on the occasion of ‘Bhai Phota’.

Speaking on the occasion, Deb said that no administration would be required if all brothers take the pledge to make the state free from crime against women and encourage women empowerment.

Deb added that his focus is to make the state free from crime against women and empowerment of women.

This was for the first time in the history of the state that a Chief Minister took part in Bhai Phota.
