Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, on January 23, marked the 128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose by celebrating 'Parakram Diwas'.
Speaking to reporters, CM Saha emphasised the significance of the day, stating, "PM Modi declared in 2021 that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birthday should be celebrated as 'Parakram Diwas'. Today, we are celebrating this occasion in honor of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose."
The chief minister further noted that a school in Tripura is named after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, and its students participate annually in a rally to commemorate the day.
He described the event as a major occasion for the people of Tripura, expressing his happiness at being part of it. "It is a big event for the people of Tripura," CM Saha said, highlighting the importance of the occasion in honoring the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
CM Saha also informed that the rally is being conducted since 1951.
