5 army men test COVID-19 positive in Arunachal; 20 new cases recorded

ITANAGAR: 20 more people, including five security personnel, tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh over the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 16,987.

Among the fresh cases, nine were recorded in Lower Dibang Valley, five each in East Siang and Itanagar Capital Complex and one in Changlang districts.

Five army men, who had a travel history, are among the new patients. These cases have been reported from East Siang district.

The state currently has 122 active cases, while 56 people have succumbed to the disease so far.

On the other hand, as many as 16,809 people have recovered from the disease till now, with three being discharged yesterday.

Altogether, 4,19,969 samples have been tested in the state so far, including 238 yesterday.
