ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Police has suspended a constable for filming YouTuber Paras Singh in police custody.
The constable has been identified as HC Nani Talley, head constable of the 4th IRBn, who had filmed and mentally harassed Paras Singh in lock up. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
The suspension order signed under the name of Techi Hanyir, Commandant of 4th IRBN BHQ Jully, has stated that the accused Nani Talley has been put under suspension with immediate effect and attached to battalion headquarters in Jully until his suspension.

The order also stated that Talley is not allowed to leave the battalion headquarters without prior permission but is entitled to draw subsistence allowance as per relevant sections of the Fundamental Rules.
YouTuber Paras Singh, who is accused of making racial slurs against Arunachal Pradesh and Pasighat West legislator Ninong Ering, was initially under Arunachal police custody for 7 days; the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court had on Friday extended the judicial custody of Paras for 7 days more.
The viral video filmed by Telly was suspected to be shot during Paras was taken into for hearing.
