ITANAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister (dy CM ) Chowna Mein said that the state government, headed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, is taking sincere steps to make the state conglomeration of societies where meritocracy, hard work, and talent are respected and rewarded.
He urged the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) members to be agents taking a significant role by accepting and adopting the positive change that is beneficial for the state or the nation.
Highlighting the tourist attraction of the state, the dy CM emphasized the need for the tourism industry to develop more infrastructure to grow in the state.
The DCM also informed that despite the economic crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the state government's finance and planning department has managed well bold decision to upgrade district hospitals and construct strong health infrastructures across the state.

Even though we could not implement the last budget announcement of the present financial year,
we did not compromise on significant developmental work or slash government employee salaries, as done in some other states during the pandemic.
Mein further informed that Arunachal Pradesh's share of central taxes in the Centre's 2021-22 budget estimate is Rs 11,693.94 crore as against the 15 FC projection of Rs 11,571.00 crore, which is 122.94 crores more.
For the next five years (2021-26), the 15 FC announced maintenance of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) roads at an estimated cost of Rs 1508.00 crore.
Minister Mein expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister, N Sitharaman for their concern and support for the development of the state.
