In yet another incident government staff found involved in drug peddling and its open selling.One Debojit Baruah, a contingency staff at Veterinary Training Institute, Pasighat was arrested by police on Monday last after team WASE lodged an FIR against him after information about his Ganja cultivation in government quarter and selling it to minors.
According to WASE General Secretary, Joya Tasung Moyong, two minors were seen by members of WASE while buying ganja from Baruah and accordingly the team made a surprise checking of his compound and found open cultivation of Ganja in his government quarter compound. Following our FIR lodged at Pasighat PS, Baruah was arrested by police, informed WASE sources. Meanwhile, WASE has appeal all sections of society, including the government employees not to indulge in drug peddling and its cultivation directly or indirectly. Perpetrators in any manner won’t be tolerated, the WASE said.
Meanwhile, on the same day team WASE solved a case of false rape case implicated upon a minor boy of 17 years by a 23 years old girl. On matter brought to the knowledge of WASE, they enquired the matter from the minor boy lodged in police lock up previous night on 29th April and on noting the false rape case implicated upon him, the WASE team traced out the girl who confessed and begged apology from WASE team while withdrawing the case and assured never to repeat such mistake in future.
The WASE team has strongly cautioned every womenfolk not to misuse the provisions of law made for protection of females by falsely implicating innocent people. However, WASE didn’t disclose the name of the girl.
