Arunachal CM leads Tiranga Yatra in Walong ahead of 'cabinet aapke dwar'

In a powerful expression of patriotism and unity, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu led a Tiranga Yatra at Walong, the easternmost frontier of India, on Monday.

The symbolic march was held ahead of the much-anticipated 'Cabinet Aapke Dwar' initiative scheduled in the region.

The yatra saw participation from Cabinet Ministers, local leaders, Army personnel, and hundreds of citizens, coming together in a collective show of national pride. As the Indian tricolour fluttered through the scenic hills of Walong, the atmosphere echoed with patriotic fervour and respect for the armed forces.

The march concluded at the Walong War Memorial, where tributes were solemnly paid to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives during the 1962 Indo-China War. In his address, CM Khandu emphasised the importance of remembering the sacrifices of India's defenders and instilling their spirit of dedication and courage in younger generations.

“This land is a symbol of valour and resilience. The sacrifices made here remind us of our duty to the nation and our people,” said the Chief Minister.

The event marks a significant moment ahead of the Cabinet Aapke Dwar initiative, which aims to bring governance closer to the people in remote and border areas, ensuring last-mile delivery of government services.
