Rijiju while speaking to the media briefed about the importance of Rural banks and stated that Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank is the lone bank that has its target place of work in villages and remote countryside.

According to Rijiju, the schemes launched by Central Government are implemented on the ground through Government banks for financial transactions and the success rate of the percentage of APRB is satisfactory.

"All the schemes whether Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Atal Pension, and all other important schemes are being implemented & executed through rural banks. Today several beneficiaries of various schemes were given cheques and certificates through me & many achieved success & now creating employment opportunities for others by becoming entrepreneurs,'' he added.

On the other hand, Dr Deepak Gupta, Chairman, APRB appreciated the gesture of Rijiju who took out his valuable time to inaugurate ATMs and two new branches of Arunachal Pradesh rural bank.

According to Chairman Gupta Rural Bank of Arunachal now emerged as a profitable bank with a net profit of 21 crore which was 12.35 crore earlier.

"Through Union law Minister we handed loans through cheques to the beneficiaries of Mudra loans, standup India, and Self-help group loans. Today it's a historic day for Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank as the Union law minister marked the occasion & did this gesture. In 1983 this bank came into existence and for 40 years it was been under loss but from 2011 meager profit was made. Later the total loss crossed 40 crore, but after my joining in 2019 as Chairman this bank made radical changes with the support of a new team by bringing mobile banking, UPI, IT, new premises, KIOSK,atms, computerized chequebooks, and fast connectivity. Now we are in profit and from this year all our losses got recovered and all credit goes to each and every staff, & as a Chairman I am glad to announce that APRB is now a fast-growing progressive bank with all facilities,'' he added.
