Arunachal's Anini mini stadium football ground earns FIFA quality certification

The football ground at Anini Mini Stadium in Dibang Valley district has achieved international recognition after successfully clearing the FIFA Quality Field Testing, marking a major milestone in the development of sports infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh.

Sharing the achievement, Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated the people of Anini and Dibang Valley, stating that the certification reflects the steady improvement in the quality of sporting facilities across the state. He said compliance with FIFA’s international standards would open up greater opportunities for young footballers and help nurture sporting excellence in the region.

As per the FIFA field certificate, the installed football turf system at Anini Mini Stadium has been tested and certified under the “FIFA Quality Programme for Football Turf – FIFA Quality” standard, confirming that the ground meets global benchmarks for performance, durability and player safety.

The chief minister noted that the achievement would significantly strengthen grassroots sports development and provide a professional platform for aspiring athletes from remote and border areas. He also lauded the efforts of the concerned departments, executing agencies and individuals involved in completing the project successfully.

The FIFA certification is expected to give a major boost to football activities in Dibang Valley, encourage greater youth participation in competitive sports and further position Arunachal Pradesh as an emerging hub for quality sports infrastructure in the Northeast.
