A heavy landslide struck the mountainous region between Babuk and Kebang Village, in East Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh. It has effectively blocked the vital roadway connecting the two areas.
The landslide has resulted in a precarious situation, with numerous vehicles traveling from Aalo and Pasighat sides now trapped on either side of the debris.
The extent of the landslide suggests that it may take authorities an estimated 2 to 3 days to clear the debris and restore access to the road.
The sudden closure of this crucial transportation route has sparked concerns among residents and travelers alike, as it disrupts vital connectivity in the region.
