GUWAHATI: Assam on Tuesday successfully crossed a total of 2.5 crore vaccine shots.
The state administered more than 1.9 crore first time doses and 60+ lakh second doses.
Informing about the state’s vaccine success Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Proud to share that our state has crossed a total of 2.5 crore vaccine shots as of yesterday.
We have administered more than 1.9 crore first time doses and 60+ lakh second doses. I hope our health workers continue to provide such selfless service in our fight against #COVID19.”

Meanwhile, Assam reported seven more Covid-19 fatalities pushing the death toll to 5,897, while 385 fresh cases took the tally to 6,03,623 on Tuesday, according to a bulletin issued by the National Health Mission.
The number of active cases in the state currently is 3,071.
