2 killed, 2 injured in separate road mishaps in Assam

BARAMA: One person was killed and another critically injured in a road mishap that took place in Nalbari district on Saturday.

One of the incidents took place around 10.30 pm at a market in the Barama area of the district when a speeding truck hit a motorbike in which one of the two killed was riding.

The injured person was rushed to a hospital in Guwahati for medical treatment.

The injured person has been identified as Atikur Rahman, a residence of Barnagar Banekusir in Shilakuti area. However, the deceased person is yet to be identified.

In a similar incident, one person was killed while a woman was critically injured in a truck collision near Hijuguri No 3 gate in Tinsukia.

The deceased has been identified as Pancham Dey, a residence of Dhekiajuli Bengali village.

The injured woman has been identified as Krishna Bora.

The incident took place when a speeding truck run over a passer-by.

A car was also hit by the truck.

Police reached the spot immediately.

Investigation on was underway.
