53 casual employees dismissed working under Namdapha Tiger Reserve

Itanagar, July 25, 2019:

As many as 53 casual employees have been dismissed from their jobs working under the Office of the CF& Field Director under Namdapha Tiger Reserve, Miao in Arunachal Pradesh.

In an official statement issued by the department, it has been stated that a total of 166 casual employees under various categories was employed under the Project Tiger Scheme, National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

Whereas, the department in its release mentioned that the NTCA has not provided any fund for the payment of wages of the 166 casual employees during the year 2018-19.

A huge amount of fund is required to meet the expense of wages of these employees, and also a huge amount of unpaid arrear wages is lying outstanding due to not receipt of fund from NTCA, it added.

Following this, the department has conducted an assessment of performing and non- performing casual employees were carried out under various ranges and non- performing casual employees have been shortlisted as the department authorities claimed that there is a large number of non- performing casual employees adding to the burden of this establishment.

As a result of which the department has dismissed the job of 53 casual employees in different categories.

The notice stated, “Now, therefore, in continuation of this office order No. NNP (PT) CONTG/ 2018/ PTVI/E/ 531-33 dated March 20, 2019 and no. PT/D- 36/2012/ Vol-II/ 1014/23 dated April 12, 2019, the services of the following casual employees are hereby discontinued with effect from April 1, 2019.”

For the remaining employees, the department informed that payment of wages is subject to receipt of fund from NTCA and their punctuality cum performances and the office should not be held responsible for any unfavourable decisions of the NTCA.
