DIBRUGARH: A racket of unauthorised Aadhar enrollment centre has been busted in Dibrujan area of Assam’s Dibrugarh. The racket led by Khalil Rahman allegedly collected Rs350-450 per Aadhar enrollment from various applicants.
The racket is said to be running the Aadhar Centre in an Anganbadi centre at Kalibari road in Dibrujan area of Paltan Bazar, Dibrugarh.
The centre is almost operating on daily basis from 6pm to 10pm for the last two months.
According to reports, the accused collected advance amounts from many people committing their enrollment but no enrollment is done as on date.
A team of Dibrugarh Police led by OC Bularam Terong, TSI Arjun Singh and Barbari IC Hemanta Sharma reached the spot after receiving the complaints. But the racket managed to fled away.
The Assistant Commissioner, Jyotikona Chetia also visited the spot to enquire into the matter.

" We have received the complaint and started the enquiry. The district administration is going the lodge a FIR in regard to this. We will take strict action against the culprits,"said Jyotikona Chetia, Assistant Commissioner, Dibrugarh.
The Deputy Commissioner, Dibrugarh, Pallav Gopal Jha said that he has initiated an enquiry on this and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
The Superintendent of Police Shwetank Mishra also said that police will take strict lawful action on this.
