GUWAHATI: The Assam branch of Indian Dental Association (IDA) filed an FIR against the BJP leader Angoorlata Deka at Dispur police station for her derogatory remark against dental doctors.
IDA gave 48 hours of ultimatum to Angoorlata Deka to apologize for her remarks against the dental community. The FIR was filed after Deka failed to apologize.
The ultimatum given by IDA exhausted on September 19.
Moreover, the Assam state branch, the lower Assam branch of IDA, also filed FIR on September 22 along with the Rangia branch. On September 23, FIRs were filed at Patacharkuchi Police station, Barpeta road station, Bongaigaon police station, Nalbari Police station, and Kokrajhar police station.
