GUWAHATI: The iconic temple Kamakhya temple in Guwahati reopened its door for devotees on Wednesday after remaining closed for 3 months.
This comes after the Assam government released fresh guidelines on August 17 allowing temples to reopen.

As per the new guidelines announced by Health Minister Keshab Mahanta on Tuesday, religious sites like Kamakhya temple and Dol Gobindo temple can reopen with 20 visitors in one hour, while for other religious places only 10 devotees will be allowed to enter in one hour.
Only fully vaccinated visitors will be allowed to enter, as stated by the health Minister.
Basic COVID protocols including wearing masks and maintaining social distancing are mandatory.
