There is no proper answer from the concerned authorities as to when it will open for the students and the reason for the delay. Sukur Ali Ahmed, the then PHE and Minority Development Minister declared the newly constructed building of Pathsala ITI open on March 31, 2016.
But due to reasons best known to the authority, the students are yet to be admitted in the institution. It may be mentioned that except a watchman, no employee has been appointed in the institution till date. The construction work of the institution incurred heavy expenditure and electrical connection has not yet been introduced at the campus.
The students and guardians of the locality earlier expressed happiness and kept their hopes alive but now their hopes seem to have fizzled out into thin air. Several demands from various organizations of the locality to open the institution for the students were raised to but all these went in vain.
Meanwhile, the President of Pathsala Bazar Committee, advocate Giridhar Choudhury and Secretary Jiten Talukdar have recently raised demands to make early arrangement for the opening of the institution for the greater interest of the students.
