Assam: Three murder convicts awarded life imprisonment, sent to Karimganj district jail

Three murder accused have been awarded life imprisonment by District and Sessions Judge Court, Karimganj on November 28.

The verdict was passed after 12 years since the incident took place. In 2011, the three accused stabbed a man named Nizam Uddin to death. 

Nizamuddin was brutally murdered in August 2011 over a land-related incident under Patharkandi police station. And a case was registered in this regard. After a long time, the court convicted the three accused and sentenced them to life imprisonment and sent the trio to Karimganj district jail.
