GOLAGHAT: In a fight between man- and elephant, one person lost his life in Assam’s Numaligarh area in Golaghat district.
On Sunday evening, Paskel Mura, a tea garden labourer was killed while confronted by a herd of jumbos.
Mura was on his way back home along with others from the Marang Tea estate in Numaligarh.

The laborers tried to chase the elephants away but one among the herd lifted Mura up and thrashed him alongside the road.
Though Mura was admitted to the Golaghat Civil Hospital in a critical condition, he succumbed to his injuries.
According to reports, the herd of wild elephants are still roaming around the region causing panic among the locals.
