GUWAHATI: The online learning platform Gradeup is soon to issue a public apology to the people of Assam over their controversial remark on Gamosa in a recent viral video.

On contacted by InsideNE, Gradeup associate support team member Khushboo Khan has informed that the company has already taken cognizance of the issue.

"We have already rectified the mistake that had occurred at our end in the first place. The video was taken down from our sites and the educator has been sacked from the company as well," said Khushboo.

"We are also going to issue a public apology for the mistake on our social media platforms as well," Khushboo added.

Recently a video of an online learning platform, named Gradeup, has gone viral in Assam where a teacher was seen identifying Gamosa, a handwoven white rectangular clothe with red borders known to have a cultural significance of indigenous people of Assam, as an animal.

The teacher seen on the video is identified as Roshan and the video is also at least two years old.
