Guwahati candidate Upamanyu Hazarika to form new political party

Supreme Court lawyer Upamanyu Hazarika has announced that he will form a new political party while addressing the press in Guwahati on Monday.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, Hazarika stated that, there is no political party for the indigenous people of Assam. Therefore, this political party will focus on the issues of the indigenous people.

Upamanyu Hazarika also stated that the motto of the new party is not to be confined and limited to becoming elected legislators or ministers but to fulfill the requirements of the people. It may be mentioned that Hazarika is contesting from the Guwahati HPC as an independent candidate.
