ASSAM: HARDCORE ULFA(I) CADRE ARRESTED IN DIBRUGARH

The Dibrugarh police arrested a hardcore United Liberation Front of Asom(I) cadre from Bongal village. The militant identified as Gunjan Axom alias Gautam Dadhora was apprehended when he had come to Dibrugarh for treatment in Assam Medical College Hospital. A hand grenade was recovered from the militant.

It may be mentioned that Gunjan along with a group entered India from the Arakan camp in Myanmar through Arunachal Pradesh on March 17. Gunjan who hails from Kutuhabali village in Dibrugarh underwent Guerrilla training in Bangladesh.
