GUWAHATI: Congress Member of Parliament from Nowgong Pradyut Bordoloi has taken a potshot at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for accepting donations from a child who had donated his piggy bank for Covid-19 relief fund.
"At a time when #PMNarendraModi promised to give it free @CMOfficeAssam while appreciating the sense of responsibility should have politely declined to take the child's piggy bank for buying vaccines in the state," wrote Bordoloi on Twitter.

MP Bordoloi has also branded the act as "insensitivity" on CM Sarma's part.
Yesterday, a young kid from the Noonmati area of Guwahati came forward with his piggy bank at a time when people from all walks of life are making donations to CM Relief Fund as a gesture to help the government fight the battle against COVID.
The CM Office has informed that CM Sarma has appreciated the child's sense of responsibility and wished him success in life.
