GUWAHATI: Assam pugilist Lovlina Borgohain has reached her hometown today for the first time after the Tokyo Olympics amid cheerful greetings by her well-wishers and followers.
Lovlina Borgohain landed at the Dimapur Airport today at around 2 pm where her fans were already waiting for her to greet and after that she directly headed towards Golaghat.
“I cannot wait to meet my mother it’s been a long while since I saw any of her,” said Lovlina after landing in Dimapur.

Lovlina, who hails from Barpathar of Golaghat district, received a grand welcome by state Ministers Atul Bora and Ajanta Neog after which she headed towards her residence.
At her residence, Lovlina received a teary and emotional welcome by her family members and locals who were waiting for her all day long.
Natives have welcomed Lovlina with Bihu and gamusa.
Although Lovlina returned back to Guwahati on the 12th of August, she wasn’t able to visit her home during that short return to Assam as she was caught up with various felicitation programs arranged for her in Guwahati.
Later, on 13th August, she had to return back to Delhi to attend the Independence Day celebration on Prime Minister Modi’s invitation.
