GUWAHATI: The Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) conducted a Virtual Special General Meeting, during which Pijush Hazarika, Minister for Water Resources, Information and Public Relations and Parliamentary Affairs, was elected as President of ATTA ON September 11.
Former President Shri Mriganka Barman had resigned from the post of President of Assam Table Tennis Association and since the post was lying vacant.
The virtual meeting was presided by Mr Munin Nobis, Vice President of Assam Table Tennis Association. All the executive members and affiliated districts of ATTA unanimously elected the new President.

Mr Dhanraj Chowdhury, CEO Table Tennis Federation of India was the observer of the meeting along with Mr Omar Rashid, Secretary -Assam Badminton Association who was appointed as observer by Assam Olympic Association.
Under the dynamic leadership of the new President, Assam Table Tennis Association is confident and positive that the game will reach greater heights in days to come.
