GUWAHATI: Rashtriya Syawamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat today launched a book on the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) -- both of which triggered protests in Assam and other parts of India.
The book, titled 'Citizenship Debate Over NRC & CAA: Assam and the Politics of History' authored by Gauhati University professor Nani Gopal Mahanta, argues that citizenship debate over NRC and CAA in India is a legacy of partition, and not a crisis of secularism.
