The investigation team let go BJP leader from Dharampur Kamal Hazarika after questioning on Wednesday.
Nalbari Police had detained Kamal Hazarika a close confidant of Assam Transport Minister and senior BJP leader Chandra Mohan Patowary for questioning in connection with the Assam Police SI examination paper leak case.

Kamal Hazarika said, “Belsore Police Station CI told me that I am linked with Assam Police SI recruitment scam. So I came to Nalbari Police Station. Later in the morning, they told me that it was a mistake. There was confusion with my name and they wrongly picked me up for questioning.”
Nalbari Police on Tuesday detained Dharmapur BJP leader Kamal Hazarika for questioning in connection with the Assam Police SI examination paper leak case. Kamal Hazarika is close to Assam Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary and reportedly looked after Patowary’s political work in Dharmapur.
