Massive fire guts workers huts, train services disrupted in Margherita

A massive fire broke out near the Margherita railway station today, disrupting the Ledo–Guwahati Intercity train service.

The blaze erupted in the temporary huts of railway line workers, completely gutting several structures.

Due to the fire, the Ledo–Guwahati Intercity Express was halted at Margherita station as a precautionary measure.

Fortunately, all railway workers managed to escape unharmed.

Margherita Police and fire service personnel responded quickly and brought the flames under control.
The exact cause of the fire is still unknown.
